• WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MARCELLA’S BRIDAL? Marcella’s Bridal is a full service bridal salon so you can expect to get professional courteous service from all of our trained bridal consultants. To afford you the utmost service we have a proven system that works for everyone, whether you are a walk-in client or have an appointment. First you will be greeted as soon as you walk in the front door. We then ask you to take one or two minutes and fill out a brief registration that asks you things like: When is your wedding date? Where are you planning on having your wedding? Where are you planning on having your reception? This will help us help you find exactly what you are looking for. We also ask for an estimated budget. We do this to ensure our bridal consultants show you what you are looking for in the price range you are looking at. Our dresses come in a wide range of styles and prices and we will never pressure you to extend your budget. Let us help you find the perfect dress in your price range.

Once you have completed the registration, one of our bridal consultants will give you personal one-on-one help in going through our many options and trying on whatever you like. In the end, you can expect to have an enormous amount of fun and to leave satisfied!

• WHY IS IT RECOMMENDED I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? Marcella’s Bridal is a local family business based on exceptional service and a caring attitude for the needs of our customers. At Marcella’s we recommend that you make an appointment for the best possible service available. Our goal is to give each bride that personal one-on-one time necessary to find the perfect gown. We are a full service bridal salon and everyone must be accompanied by a professional bridal consultant in our store. At Marcella’s Bridal we do not permit self-service. Every future bride is assigned a personal consultant that will wait on her alone. You do not have to make an appointment if you do not wish, you are always welcome to wait for an available bridal consultant; however, especially on weekends, we recommend setting up an appointment ahead of time due to the volume of cliental, thus increased wait times. We do accommodate walk-ins but appointments are always given preference. With an appointment either a consultant is waiting for you or you will automatically be “next up”. This way we can guarantee you that you will have the very best experience while finding your wedding gown when you come to Marcella’s Bridal.

• WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME WHEN I COME FOR MY WEDDING GOWN SHOPPING APPOINTMENT AT MARCELLA’S BRIDAL? When shopping for a wedding gown all the experts advise not to bring too many people. Your mom and one or two other trusted individuals who you value their opinion seems to be the perfect mix. This will make your experience more enjoyable and you will have a better chance of being successful in your quest. It’s great to have a couple people who are close to you to give you honest opinions, but bringing too many people to “poll the audience” is a recipe for disaster that may make you miss out on your perfect gown. In the end the only opinion that truly counts when picking a wedding gown is YOURS! You want a wedding gown that will make you look beautiful and feel amazing. You are the only one who will really know when you have found the gown that does this.

• WHAT ARE THE PRICES LIKE AT MARCELLA’S BRIDAL? One word alone describes the wedding gown prices…AMAZING! Marcella’s Bridal only sells independent, well known designer gowns that are normally found only in small boutique stores. The difference is that for most of the designers represented in our store Marcella’s Bridal is their largest customer in this area. This means we buy in large volumes that result in large discounts that we can pass on to our customers.  When you come to Marcella’s Bridal advise your consultant as to your budget and she will work not only to find you the most beautiful gown you’ve ever seen, BUT she will also work to satisfy your financial needs and stay within your budget. Our professionally trained Bridal Consultant’s are not strictly paid a commission. We pay our staff to spend time with you and making sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave our store.

• SHOULD I BRING IN PICTURES FROM MAGAZINES OR THE INTERNET OF GOWNS I LIKE? Yes, Yes, Yes. BUT, we strongly advise that you remember two things: First, the models used by bridal designer’s average 6’ tall and wear a size 4, so unless you are this tall and wear a size 4 the gowns may not look the same on you. THIS IS WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO SEE WHICH DRESS STYLE'S YOU LOOK GOOD IN BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR DRESS. It has been our experience that when many women see themselves in a pictured gown they thought they loved they exclaim “gee, I thought it would be more exciting” and, when they try on a gown style they had not even considered before they go crazy over how good it makes them feel. The second thing you should know is that many designers sell gowns that are not advertised in the magazines and are not available online. So when you bring in pictures of what you like so far, sit back and relax on the couch while allowing our trained bridal consultants to use your ideas to pull other dresses you may be interested in.

• DOES MARCELLA'S BRIDAL DO ALTERATIONS “ON SITE”? In addition to offering alterations on site, we also specialize in making custom changes to our selection of dresses to add a touch of uniqueness to the gown you choose. Marcella actually began doing custom dresses over twenty-five years ago and can enhance any gown; whether that is just for the perfect fit or changing the neckline, detailing, train length etc that you desire. Because of the time and effort we put into each bride's dress, we only offer this service to bride's who purchased their gown from us. Although we continue to grow, we just don't have enough time to offer this service to everyone.

• DOES MARCELLA’S BRIDAL MAKE CUSTOM WEDDING GOWNS? Yes, Marcella has personally been making custom wedding gowns for over 25 years, and we currently have professional seamstresses who do everything from altering a hem to constructing a custom wedding gown designed by Marcella. Set up an appointment for a consultation with Marcella to go over designs, fabric, and much more.

• WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE GOWNS AT MARCELLA’S BRIDAL THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN EVERYWHERE ELSE? Yes, at Marcella’s Bridal we carry lines from designers from around the world AND the majority of which are the designer's “confined lines” which are dresses that are not advertised and not found on-line. These designer confined line wedding gowns are only sold to a very limited number of Bridal Stores to boutiques like Marcella’s Bridal. The advantage for you the customer is that you can get an amazing designer gown at an exceptional value (no advertising costs tied to them) that won’t be available and sold all over the place.

• SECOND WEDDING; RE-AFFIRMING VOWS; WHAT DOES MARCELLA’S BRIDAL HAVE? Almost 25% of the women who visit Marcella’s Bridal are looking for a wedding gown fit into this category. These women tell us… “I don’t want to look like an 18 year old, all poofed out and covered with beads and sequins, BUT I do want to look special and beautiful.” We have an extensive selection of “informal” wedding gowns which are simple, less expensive gowns with either no train or a little sweep train. We also have many “cleaner,” less complicated styles of traditional type gowns that our encore brides have fallen in love with.

• DESTINATION WEDDINGS; BEACH WEDDINGS; PREGNANT BRIDE??? Not a week goes by when we don’t have several requests in this category. The advantage of shopping at Marcella’s Bridal is that we carry a truly unique variety of wedding gowns designed to look free flowing, elegant, sexy and exciting for just this type of wedding. As for the pregnant brides, not only do we have a great selection of gowns that will accommodate this special need but we have the experienced consultants that will be able to guide you to a beautiful dress that will truly enhance your special day.

• FULL FIGURED WOMAN AND PLUS SIZES AT MARCELLA’S BRIDAL?? Marcella’s Bridal has always enjoyed a stellar reputation with plus size customers. Just this last Bridal Show we sponsored the fashion show and one of our models was a beautiful plus size model. I overheard a mother talking to her daughter and she was just so impressed that we put our plus sized model in the fashion show. The mom said, “Just look at the audience, over 50% of the brides watching the fashion show are plus sized woman, but 90% of the gowns in the show are a size 8. We need to go to Marcella’s Bridal.” Marcella’s Bridal has always tried to help every bride find the perfect gown. With our professionally trained Bridal Consultants we can help you find a dress that will make you feel beautiful!

•  IF I AM PLANNING ON LOSING WEIGHT, WHEN SHOULD I BUY MY WEDDING GOWN? We recommend that you order your gown in the size you are currently. Alterations can always be done to accommodate whatever may occur. We have an in house alteration staff that can make changes according to any situation. Buy the gown that fits your current weight and if you reach your weight goals it will be easy to alter to fit you beautifully. If you don’t, so what! Your gown will still fit beautifully and remember he fell in love with you the way you are, not the way you hope to be.
 

• SHOULD I GET A SITTER FOR THE KIDS? We strongly advise you not bring children to a bridal store. Your wedding gown choice is one of the most important decisions you will make for your wedding. For the rest of your married life you will be looking at pictures of yourself in that special gown. When shopping for that gown you need to be able to focus and concentrate without distractions. A bridal salon is not a fun place for kids and they will get bored very quickly and totally distract you from this important mission. Crying babies also distract other future brides on this important day and we will ask that crying babies be taken outside. NO CHILDREN ARE PERMITTED ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. Due to safety concerns and liability issues CHILDREN UNDER 12 ARE NEVER PERMITTED BEYOND THE WAITING AREA WITHOUT STRICT PARENTAL SUPERVISION.

• WHAT IF I FIND THE GOWN OF MY DREAMS AND I’M NOT READY TO BUY IT YET? (I’m not ready financially or I want my mom to see it.) CAN YOU HOLD THE GOWN FOR ME? To hold a dress off the rack, a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $100 or 10% of the dress, whichever is more, must be put down towards the dress. If you decide to buy the dress, the deposit may be put towards the purchase. If the dress is not purchased, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred to a different purchase.

• CAN I TAKE PICTURES OF A FEW DRESSES SO I CAN “THINK ABOUT IT”, AND MAKE MY DECISION OVER NIGHT? You are welcome to make another appointment if  you need to make up your mind on your favorite gown. However, we do not allow pictures in our store until after you have purchased the gown. We are under strict obligation to our private designer’s to keep their names and designs confidential. Please do not bring cameras of any kind (including cell phones) in our dressing room and showrooms. We will promptly invite you to leave the store if you break this policy. The day you decide to purchase your gown our staff would be more than happy to assist you in taking as many pictures of you and your group as you would like.
